Tech Career Expo Austin - March 2014

 

The Tech Career Expo at the same time as SXSW Interactive (SX) takes place Saturday and Sunday, March 8-9, 2014 from 11am to 4pm at Fogo de Chao. No badge is needed. We are open to both SX attendees and to the public. Now in our 3rd year, the event is the leading premier job fair, showcasing the best tech jobs and career opportunities available. Positions range from development, design and engineering to management, marketing and sales. We unite quality companies with top talent in casual, creative atmosphere, across the street from the Austin Convention Center.

We are not affiliated with SX Interactive Week so no badge is required to attend. Positions range from development, design and engineering to management, marketing and sales. Careers are available in Austin, Denver, Boston, Silicon Valley, Portland, Paris, Berlin and many more cities all over the U.S. and the world.

Tech Career Expo takes place in Austin, TX at the same time as SX Interactive in the center of the action. We are across the street from the Austin Convention Center, 2 blocks Hilton Hotel.  View the parking map to the right (click to view larger version). Please also remember that there will be 30,000 extra people in town for SX.  Parking spots will likely fill up quickly.

Travel

1) Drive and Park:  For parking please click on the map below to view a full size version of the parking map.  Remember, there will be 25,000 people in town so available parking will be hard to find.  Best chance of scoring parking is to get into town early in the morning.  View our parking page for locations: http://techcareerexpo.com/parking/
2) Take the Bus Downtown:  Rather than driving downtown, take public transportation - Capital Metro – or take one of the Interactive Week’s Hotel Shuttles (there is a cost involved) from the outskirts of town. The Interactive Week Hotel Shuttles travel from various official Interactive Week hotels to the Convention Center.

Rivals Steakhouse in Austin, Texas bustled with people last weekend (March 8-9), as Engage Digital hosted its 2nd annual Tech Career Expo. The massively successful event brought in 48 recruiting tech companies – selling out the show floor – looking to fill 2,600 open positions.

The event drew in over 2,400 onsite job seekers and 4,100 online registered job seekers. Information from all online registered job seekers has been forwarded to all recruiting companies in order to maximize connections and facilitate great hiring.

Those who made it out to the event enjoyed an unmatched opportunity to meet and network with employers and talented professionals from across the nation, all in one central location during Interactive Week. We were not affiliated with Interactive Week this year, so no badge was required to attend.
